Yellowstone Canyon
North Rim Drive Overlooks
July 22, 2012

There's a strenuous half mile walk from the North Rim Drive to stand next to the edge of the Lower Falls. From the Rim Drive to the brink of the Lower Falls the elevation drops 600', which is what makes the walk strenuous. The trail is paved switchback, so it is easy except for walking the uphill part at elevation of 7,000'
